Sally Hansen Color Frenzy polishes

****PRESS SAMPLE****

Sally Hansen was so nice and sent me a few of their newest polishes that were released this summer. I have two of the shades from the Sally Hansen Color Frenzy polishes. This is a collection of 8 new glitter toppers. Sally Hansen was nice and sent me 2 from this collection. These two that they sent me happened to be the ones I wanted most from this collection so I was really excited when I seen them in my box from Sally Hansen.

First up I have is Candy Drops. Candy Drops has small light pink matte hex glitters and micro bar glitter as well as silver holographic micro glitter in a clear base. I used 2 coats over naked nails.

This is such a girly color and I think it would look really cute over a nice brown shade. I just love brown with pink accents or pink with brown accents, lol!

Next I have is Red, White, and Hue. This is the patriotic one of the bunch and I LOVE it!!! It's so cute!!

Red, White, and Hue is a mix of red, white and blue hex glitters in a clear base. I used 2 coats of this over naked nails. I just love how these are so cute and I am trying to think of a great Labor Day mani to use this in.

Overall these were really easy to work with and I didn't have to fish around for glitter when applying. I also didn't have to manipulate it to get good glitter placement on the nail. I like that because then I don't end up with a ton of coats on or it isn't lumpy.

These can be purchased at many retailers near that sell Sally Hansen products such as Walmart, Target, Walgreens, etc...

NYC New York Color City Samba Collection Summer 2014

Today I have a few things that NYC New York Color sent me from their new City Samba Collection for Summer 2014. This collection will available in stores from June 2014 to September 2014.

The entire collection consists of 3 Liquid Lipshine Lipglosses retailing for $1.99 each, 2 Sun n' Bronze Bronzing Powders retailing for $4.99 each, 8 In A New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polishes retailing for $1.99 each, and 3 Showtime Nail Art colors retailing for $1.99 each. I don't have the complete collection but they sent me quite a bit from it to show you. I am so excited for this collection because to me it just screams what summer is all about. This is a limited edition color collection inspired by the vibrancy of Brazil!! YAY!!

Well, here goes...I have 4 of the polishes, 1 bronzer, and 1 lipgloss to show you and I can't wait to tell you all about them!

First I have Palm On The Beach. This is a green color that is really more green than is pictured here. Shown is 2 coats and no topcoat. The formula is great, it goes on smoothly and there is no streaks.

Next is Jacaranda Flower. This one is a really pretty purple cream. Shown is also 2 coats with no topcoat. Again the formula was great with no streaks.

The third color I received from this collection is Sweet Melon. This is almost exactly as it's name says. It is a peachy melon color with a bit of shimmer. Great formula with this one as well and no streaks. Shown is 2 coats with no topcoat.

The last nail color I received in this collection was Tropicoral. It is a beautiful coral pink cream. Formula was also great and no streaks here either. Shown is 2 coats with no topcoat.

I also received on of the Sun 'n' Bronze bronzers in Rosa Rio. This one is a perfect one for my skin tone and I was really happy to get it. I have been using it in place of my blush to give me just a bit of a bronze color to my face. Rosa Rio has a bit of shimmer in it so you get that nice "glow" when you wear this one.

In this pic above I thought I'd show you a pic of what a nice bronze color you get when you apply and build it up. To the left is the back of my hand with no bronzer on it, on the right I apply a generous amount of bronzer to show you the nice shade you can achieve. Now I don't apply this much when I wear it on my face, like I said, I've been using as a blush and then in a few spots on my face where the sun may hit me. The cheeks get just a tad more than the rest but I think it gives me nice results.

The last item I received was one of the Liquid Lipshine Lipglosses from this collection. This one is Passion Fruit. It is a pinky peach with shimmer. It has a nice paddle wand for application and it even has a pleasant "fruity" smell that is subtle. It gives you just a hint of color with wicked shine. It is not sticky or goopy and does not leave your lips feeling dry once it wears off. I really like this one and use it when I just want a hint of color on my lips.

Overall I loved everything I received and I think this collection is just a fun collection. The only problem I had was catching the true color of Palm On The Beach with my camera and Sweet Melon also is not as bright as it is in my pictures above, it is slightly lighter, more of a melon shade. The formulas on all the bottles I received were great, I had no issues with application at all. They all also dried super fast, they aren't kidding when they say in a New York Minute!! The brozer is perfect for me and I think I will get a lot of use out of it year round (to add a bit of color in the winter and to emphasize my color in the summer). I loved the lipgloss, it was just the perfect shade for me and it wasn't sticky or thick which I love because I hate sticky lipglosses and I won't wear them. This was a complete success for me with the whole lot of things I got from this collection. If you haven't tried any of them I suggest you run out and grab some before they are all gone!!

More Wet-n-Wild Fergie Vicious Varnish High Shine Lipstain

I loved these lip stains so much that I had to run out and get a couple more shades. So I have 2 more of the Wet-n-Wild Fergie Vicious Varnish High Shine Lipstains for you.

These two additional colors are a couple in the red family. I am really starting to branch out on my choices of lip colors and getting a little bolder. Here are Voguing Madness and Global Fierceness. As the same with the other two I recently reviewed (you can check out that post here ). They really do shine and have excellent staying power! I love the flexible paddle wand that these have. I know some people find a flexible wand a little harder to apply but I think that it just helps you to not get too much product on your lips.

Voguing Madness is a kind of coral/orange red. I am not sure how I like this one and not sure on how well it works with my skin tone but I am going to keep it and wear it a few more times before I make a final decision on if I like the shade on me. I love the shade on others and in the tube but this is a little outside my comfort zone so I may just have to get used to it.

These apply so smoothly and I just can't get over how they shine and they are a lipstain!!! Wet-n-Wild really knocked it out of the park when they made these. I think these have really changed my mind about lipstains! I also can't get over how much staying power these things have!! WOW!! That's all I have to say because I can get a good 5-6 hours of good wear with these.

The next one I have is called Global Fierceness is a medium berry red. I think this one works better with my skin tone and I really love the way it looks on me when I have it on. This is another one that is going in my purse for me to have with me at all times.

OMG! If you guys could only see what the inside of my purse looks like, I think I must have about 15 lip glosses, lipsticks, and lipstains in there. I finally had to put them in a little mini zipper pouch that I bought from ThirtyOne Gifts just so that I can keep them all together and am able to find what I want easily. Maybe sometime I should do a "What's in my purse" post, lol!! I know I always love reading them when other bloggers do them, mostly because I am curious about how much cosmetics they carry with them on a daily basis so I can assure myself I'm not strange, lol!

Of these two this one is my favorite. I have to try out more of the other shades from the collection before I can pick my overall favorite. I am planning on hitting up another Walgreens soon to purchase a couple more of these. You'll have to stay tuned to see if I snatch up a few more because if I do I will do a post on those as well :)

I purchased these and the other two I reviewed at my local Walgreens and they were on sale for $2.49 but regular price was $3.99 so either way, on sale or not, they are a great bargain! These can be purchased where ever Wet-n-Wild products are sold and that's at a multitude of drugstores, WalMart, Target, and many other retailers near you.

China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy nail art

Today I have some pretty simple nail art I did recently in some fun, bright summery colors!

Here is China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy and Zoya Trixie. I love FFF (Flip Flop Fantasy) because it is such a nice bright color and is so perfect for summer. It's just BAM! in your face!!

Ok, so I did 2 coats of FFF on my thumb, pointer, and ring fingers. Then I put 2 coats of Trixie, which is such a gorgeous silver metallic, on my middle and ring fingers.

Once they were dry I applied 6 strips of striping tape horizontally across my ring finger nail. Once I had the positioning of the tape in place I applied a nice thick coat of FFF over the top of everything. Then when I finished applying the thick coat of FFF I grabbed my tweezers and removed all of the the striping tape. You want to remove the striping tape right away before it dries so that it doesn't pull up what you want to stay on the nail. I also think it gives you a nice clean line too.

Then I waited for that to dry a bit and topcoated everything with Out The Door to seal it all in and add some shine.

Hope you all enjoy this mani as much as I did!!

Cult Nails Enigmatic

Today I am re-visiting Cult Nails Enigmatic. I haven't used it in a while and when I was trying to figure out what to do with my nails the other day I grabbed this one because I was in the mood for something warm and dark. Enigmatic is a warm purple/plum color with shimmer. Depending how the light hits it and what kind of lighting the shimmer takes on either a gold shimmer or a purple shimmer.

This color is so beautiful and it is such a perfect fall color. I know it isn't fall yet but lately we have been having a bit of a cold snap and it's been in the 60's and low 70's during the day and getting down to the 50's and upper 40's at night so I was looking for something a little warmer on my nails. This one did the trick and it was exactly what I needed!

Shown here is 2 coats of Enigmatic over my base coat and then topped with Out The Door for added shine. I think I probably could have put a third coat on and gotten a nice deep shade of this on my nails. It's nice here with 2 coats but now looking back, 3 coats would have been really nice. All pics were taken indoors with artificial lighting and no flash.

You can purchase Cult Nails lacquers here and as always they are 5 free, vegan friendly, and cruelty free!! They retail for $12 for a full sized 0.5fl oz bottle.

Morgan Taylor Coming Up Roses glitter gradient

Today I have a pretty, subtle glitter gradient nail art for you. I did this one because I needed something simple for an occasion I had but I wanted to have some glitter or something to it besides just the plain color. Now don't get me wrong, I love this color, it's very beautiful but I just wanted a little something extra for this mani.

My base is Morgan Taylor Coming Up Roses, which is a pinky mauve nude. I really love this shade and actually have something very similar in Zoya as well. This is one of my favorite colors so I can never have too many of it.

Then once my 2 coats of Coming Up Roses was dry I took a basic cosmetic wedge and brushed on a little bit of Pure Ice Spit Fire. Spit Fire is a glitter topper that has pink, silver, and holographic micro glitter in it, it's such a beautiful color.

Then I dabbed on the coated cosmetic wedge on a paper towel to just get rid of a little of the excess and dabbed it across the tips and a little down the nail towards the cuticle. I reapplied some more glitter to the cosmetic wedge and applied more to the tips. I repeated this process until I got the desired coverage I wanted. Since I didn't want a real prominent glitter gradient I didn't have to do too many applications. I repeated this to all my nails and then once I was all finished I topped it all off with Out The Door to seal it in and give it all shine.

Pure Ice polishes can be purchased at Walmart for $1.97 in store and online. These are very reasonable prices for a good quality polish. They also have a nice range of colors and treatments (topcoats and basecoats). You can check out my review of Morgan Taylor Coming Up Roses here.

Aveeno Positively Radient Targeted Tone Corrector

***I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.***

Recently I received this Aveeno Positively Radient Targeted Tone Corrector from Influenster to try out. I don't have any dark spots that I needed to lighten so I just thought that I would use it and see if it evens out my skin tone a bit and maybe moisturize. Here is a list of the Ingredients-
Water, Cyclopentasiloxane Cyclohexasiloxane, Dimethicone, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Glycerin, Peg-8, Stearyl Heptanoate, C14-22 Alcohols, Steareth-21, Stearyl Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Polyacrylamide, Hroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Squalane, Bht, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Disodium Edta, P-Anisic Acid, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Ascorbic Acid, Dihydroxy Methylchromone, Xanthan Gun, Polysorbate 20, Retinol, Laureth-7, Polysorbate 60, Propylene Glycol, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide.

I have been only using it at night after I wash my makeup off and my face is clean, then I go to bed. I have to tell you before hand that my skin on my face is super sensitive, I've been known to have allergic reactions to different things like foundation, powder, cleansers, and moisturizers. Usually I don't try anything new (unless it's the weekend and I don't plan on going anywhere special and I really want to try a product) but I thought I'd give it a shot.

This is a full sized (1.1fl oz) tube I received. Upon opening I noticed that there was a nice pleasant scent that isn't overwhelming. A strong fragrance is a huge turn off for me and especially my husband (he has a really sensitive sniffer and can't stand strong smelling anything) so I'm very picky about scent. It is a nice light consistency and doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky or greasy once applied.

After the first application I didn't really notice anything but upon further use I noticed that I would have slight red blotches appear but they would be gone by morning usually so I paid no attention, I figured that I just scrubbed a little too much when washing my face. After the fourth use I noticed that the red blotches were still there in the morning and now they itched. *Red flag* this means my skin does not like this product and it's a sign that I have to discontinue use.

Now I want to say that I don't think this is a bad product I just think it didn't work for me. I love Aveeno's body and hand lotions a lot and they work really well for me, I have also tried many of their other products, just this particular one didn't work for me. My face is very particular about what I put on it, which sometimes is a pain in the butt because I love trying new products out but am always afraid I'll have a reaction. Oh well, I will just go back to what works for me! I had to apply hydrocortisone cream to the afflicted areas and take a Benedryl to help, also just had to wash my face again and apply my usual moisturizer. By the time morning came around my skin was all calmed down.

As you can see in this picture you can see that the apples of my cheeks and my chin are red. This was after applying the Targeted Tone Corrector about an hour or so before I took the pic, my skin was not red at all when I applied this. I don't share a lot of bare faced pics but I wanted to show you my skin's reaction to this.

Aveeno products can be purchased at just about any retailer so you shouldn't have a hard time finding their products.

Wet-n-Wild Fergie Vicious Varnish High Shine Lip Stain

Today I have some lippies for you. I picked these up from my local Walgreens because I had seen them reviewed by someone on YouTube and wanted to try them for myself. I am very pleased with these and can't wait to share these with you!

These are the new Wet-n-Wild Fergie Vicious Varnish High Shine Lipstains. These come in 10 colors but I only bought two colors. I have a feeling I am going to be going back for more because I love them so much.

The two colors I bought are Flawless and Legendary Face. They come with a wand that has a flat "paddle" or rounded spatula at the end for application. This paddle is not firm but the wand is very flexible so it can make applying a little tricky. You really have to be paying attention to what you are doing otherwise you could end up with this where you don't want it.

Flawless is a bright pink glossy lipstain. This is such a fun bright color and I wasn't really sure how I was going to like this one because I don't think I've ever worn a bright pink on my lips. However, I LOVE this shade and I find myself reaching for this one at least 3-4 times a week.

Next I have Legendary Face. This is a nice nude color and it almost matches my natural lip tone perfectly. On me it gives me just a slight hint of color and I use this one when I'm going for a more natural look or I am wearing a bold/smokey eye. I reach for this one at least 2-3 times a week.

Now the low down on the wear of these. These truly are a lipstain and on me they lasted a good 5-6 hours with light eating and drinking from a water bottle with a straw. Flawless really stains the lips and I noticed that even at the 8 hour mark I could still see the stain of the color on my lips even though the shine was gone. The shine on these do last for quite a while too and the shine does fade nicely throughout wear. I think the shine lasted a good 4 hours with just drinking out of a straw.

The feel of these are also really nice. They go on smooth, have a nice shine, and aren't sticky or heavy feeling on the lips. I didn't have any problems with color getting on my teeth either (which is something I always worry about). When these stains do fade I found that they faded nicely and you didn't end up with the "ring" of color around the edge of the lips, for me they faded pretty evenly all over the lip.

Overall I give these a BIG thumbs up and I plan on going out and purchasing these again in a few different colors.

These can be purchased at a multitude of retailers (where ever Wet-n-Wild is sold) and are very budget friendly for cost. I bought mine at Walgreens and they had a price of I believe it was $3.99 but I got them on sale using my Balance Rewards card for $2.49 each. Like I said, very budget friendly, that is why I am going to get as many of the shades I can!
