Butter London Bluey

I decided to splurge and treat myself to a Butter London polish. I had heard so many good things about them and wanted to see for myself what the fuss is all about. Boy have I been missing out!!

The best way I can describe Bluey is a deep beautiful turquoise blue. It is described as a slightly metallic peacock blue on the Butter London website. When I put this on I couldn't stop staring at my hands because this blue was so amazing!

Butter London is also a 4 free polish. I love that there are so many great companies out there making polish that is free of toxins and still amazing.

The formula for this is smooth and it dried pretty quickly. I see what all the fuss is about, Butter London is really a great polish. I love that they have such unique names for their colors. I think they all it Butter London because it goes on like butter, lol!

There are various different places that you can purchase Butter London polishes but I don't know what they all are. I know in my area you can get them at Ulta or you can go online to the Butter London website here. Some of their colors are very unique as well. I have one more Butter London polish that I purchased and will hopefully get that swatch and review up for you soon. I am looking forward to trying out more of their products!

The photo above was taken in my dining room with flash and the overhead light. This was taken before I got a light box. I used 3 coats to get full opacity because after 2 coats I could still see natural nail line and I wanted full opacity.

New Lovelies on the way!!

The last couple days have been great! I placed an order for 7 new Zoya polishes (4 o which are from the new 2013 Spring Lovely Collection), scored a Girly Bits Eggnogaholic yesterday, have a 365 Days of Color holiday polish I won coming, and yesterday my Deborah Lippmann Stairway to Heaven arrived. I am so excited to show all these lovelies to you when they arrive! I'm also thinking of placing a Zoya order for a few more during the sale next week.

In the meantime I will have another exciting blog post up for you soon!

Zoya Electra

For our next Zoya Ornate Collection post I am going to review Zoya Electra.

Electra is a glitter topcoat but with you could get full coverage with roughly 3 coats. It is filled with holographic bar glitter. I think it's silvery holographic and very pretty.

Electra went on very smoothly which I have not experienced before on a glitter. Usually the glitters take some manipulation but I did not have to do that here.

I did not use Electra alone, I chose to put it over my current mani of Zoya's Aurora on an accent nail. I used 2 coats of Electra over Aurora and added a topcoat of Seche Vite for added shine.

As you can see 2 coats of Electra have me pretty good coverage over the Aurora. I'm not sure how much I'll wear this once since I don't wear much glitters but I look forward to trying it out in different manicures.

Overall I thought this one is another hit for Zoya. I loved the formula and coverage was great. I am going to play with it more and see what nail art I can incorporate it into.
