First off, I have to say for a small company they sure do create some amazing product! Now, when I opened the box I seen these beautiful polish "burritos" (as they call them). Each one had a label on the outside of the wrapping to tell you what polish is in each "burrito". Cute packaging! I must also tell you that all of their packaging materials are 100% recycled and re-useable. The burritos are wrapped in a 100% recycled wrap and then there are cotton balls to pad the burritos in the box. These cotton balls can be reused to remove your polish so that you can apply one of your new Cult Nails polishes. I put mine in my cotton ball stash to be used later. I wish I could find the picture I took of everything in the box before I unwrapped all the burritos but I can't find it on my camera. Hmmm...anyways...
The first polish I used was from their 2nd Anniversary Collection. This is Fetish. It is a black wax finish polish. It is unique and at first I wasn't sure how I was going to like the wax finish but after having it on for a day and receiving many compliments I found that I loved it! To add to my mani I decided to use one of the other polishes from the 2nd Anniversary Collection as an accent nail. I used their coppery/bronze glitter called Blaze. It is beautiful and I must say that for a glitter it was rather smooth once I applied my topcoat.
All of these had an amazing formula and they applied very easily. In my Fetish/Blaze mani I used 2 coats of Fetish and no topcoat and 2 coats of Blaze with a topcoat of Wicked Fast. Dry time between coats was about 2-3 minutes (I wasn't paying close attention to the clock and then the hubby distracted me with questions). In the My Kind Of Cool Aid I used 2 coats with a topcoat of Wicked Fast.
Yesterday I decided to change my mani mid-week (usually Saturday afternoons are mani day) and decided on a full Blaze mani. So here's a pic of a full mani of just Blaze. I used 2 coats of Blaze and a topcoat of Wicked Fast. Only one coat of Wicked Fast is all you need with this glitter, it is nice and smooth! I just wish my camera would pick up all the colors in the glitter better. There is copper, bronze, a bit of gold I think, and sometimes I think I see a fleck of silver.
This one is with flash indoors.
These are definitely some must haves! I heard on Cult Nails' facebook page that in April they are coming out with another new collection and I can't wait! I will have some more Cult Nails reviews for you soon because I have a couple more polishes that I got to try out! :)
