Zoya Mia

This is Zoya Mia. I have to say that this is one of my favorites. I couldn't believe how much I lived it when I put it on. I can describe it as a mauve creme and such a great one if you are looking for a neutral but with a hint of color.

The formula was amazing on this for a creme. It dried within a few minutes and even without a topcoat has a shine.

All pictures here are taken with 2 coats of Mia and one coat of topcoat.

Zoya polishes can be purchased here on their website or at your local Ulta store.

Cult Nails Quench

Today I am bringing you Cult Nails Quench. This is a beautiful red creme. I have never worn red before so this is my first red and I've got to say that I LOVE this one! I have just started getting into Cult Nails and their polishes and so far I'm impressed with their product. It comes beautifully packaged in recycled/re-usable packaging which I think is amazing.

The application of this was easy-peasy. No streaks, clumps, and it wasn't goopy at all! Dry time was actually pretty fast. Not long after I applied the first coat, it was dry to the light touch so I started applying the second coat. Perfect! No bubbles or nothing, just pure perfection!

All Pictures here are taken with 2 coats of Quench and one coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast topcoat. I have to tell you as far as topcoats go, Wicked Fast is the best one I've tried! It is well worth the money!

Cult Nails polishes can be purchased exclusively here on their website. They also offer some supplies for nail art but the last time I checked they were all out of the nail art supplies. Check back often though!

China Glaze Purple Panic

This one I am bringing you today is China Glaze's Purple Panic. I can already tell this one is going to be one of my go-to's for this summer. I LOVE this color. It is so bright and cheery! It says Purple Panic but I think it is the perfect neon pink with an iridescent shimmer.

The application on this was great. No streaks and not gloopy or clumpy. It applied easily. It does dry to a matte finish and the iridescent shimmer doesn't come out until you add a topcoat. I can't say enough how much I am loving this color!!

All pictures here are with 2 coats of Purple Panic and one coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast topcoat. These were taken indoors with flash. I was hoping to get outside to take pics today but the sun is hiding behind some clouds.

China Glaze polishes can be purchased at your local beauty supply store, Ulta stores, and salons.

Butter London The Black Knight

Today I have Butter London The Black Knight for you. This was one that I had been lemming for quite sometime and recently was able to get my fingers on it and call it mine! This has black, blue, pink, and silver glitter all suspended in a black base.

I figured since we actually have sun here in Minnesota today I would go outside and try to capture some nice pictures but as soon as I went outside the sunlight dimmed. I did manage to get a couple pictures in here though.

The formula on this glitter lacquer was great, not clumpy or goopy like some are. It went on smoothly and dried within a few minutes. All these pictures are shown with 2 coats of lacquer and two coats of Out The Door fast dry topcoat. I went with 2 coats of the topcoat because this dries with a rough finish and even after 1 coat of Out the Door it was still not as smooth as I like it. 2 coats of topcoat did the trick!

This picture was in direct sunlight and it seems that the sparkle was lost. :( Too bad because it's so pretty in the light!

I can't begin to tell you how much I love this one. I can't stop looking at my nails and staring at them!

Butter London Lacquers can be purchased at Butter London's website, Ulta stores, or other fine retailers near you. I suggest you run out and pick some up ASAP!

Butter London Slapper

Today I have Butter London Slapper for you. This is a beautiful turquoise creme. I have seen that turquoise is the it color this season.

As with all Butter London's I have worked with the formula is smooth and as I've said before, goes on like butter. It dries within a few minutes. I did notice that the first coat went on streaky but the second coat smoothed it out nicely and to my liking.

All pictures are taken with 2 coats and one coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast topcoat. I also want to tell you that even without a topcoat this has a brilliant shine.

Butter London lacquers can be purchased here on their website, Ulta stores, and other fine retailers/salons.

China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise

When I was trying to decide what to do for a St Patty's Day mani I couldn't figure it out. I don't really have much for green polishes but when I went searching through my stash I came across this one. This is China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise. It is a turquoise frost that I had a really hard time capturing the true color in pictures.

I found that the formula on this one was great. It went on really smoothly with no streaking. Even for a frost I didn't have those streaks. It dried pretty quickly and I was surprised to see it dries to a matte finish. Once I added the second coat and then added a topcoat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast the shimmer/frost really came out and I loved the color.

I know it's not much of a green but more turquoise so it wasn't really a true St Patty's Day mani but it was as close as I was going to get. I think this is going to be a great color for me to work with and now my next task is to figure out what I can do with it next.

China Glaze polishes can be purchased at a variety of stores and salons so I suggest you run right out and pick some up. All pictures shown are 2 coats of color and one coat of Wicked Fast.

Butter London Macbeth

Today I am bringing you Butter London MacBeth. This is a beautiful coral creme. As with all the Butter London's I've had experience with, I loved this one as well. Usually their formula goes on smooth and dries pretty fast but this one was a little streaky for me. Maybe it was just me or the climate in my house on this day I'm not sure but 2 coats did the trick and I was pleased with the results.

This is 2 coats of MacBeth and topped with a coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast for shine and protection.

I wasn't sure how this color would look on me but I'm loving it! In fact, I'm still wearing it almost 4 days later! I put this one on thinking that maybe the nice bright coral it would get me in the mood for spring. I am so ready for spring to get here. I live in Minnesota and there is so much snow on the ground that I don't know how we are going to do the Easter egg hunt for Easter this year. I got a little picture crazy with this one because I love it so much and I hope you do too!

This pic above is in sunlight with flash. I love this color, I can't say it enough!!

Butter London polishes can be purchased online at Butter London's site here, at Ulta stores, or other fine retailers. I suggest going out and picking up a few of their shades, I did because they are so amazing!

Julep Trina

I did this mani about a month ago and am just now getting around to writing the post for it.

I'm sure most of you know that Julep is a monthly subscription of polishes and products. It is $19.99 per month and depending on which style profile you copse you get either products only, 3 polishes, or 2 polishes and 1 product.

This one is Trina. It is a dark shimmery purple. I can't begin to describe the awesomeness of this one. I'm not much of a purple person but I'm so glad I got this one.

Julep's formula is great, it is smooth and for some of their polishes you only need one coat. For this one I went with 2 coats because I wanted to be sure there were no streaks and I wanted full opacity. I topped this with a coat of Seche Vite for shine and protection.

I am also going to say how wonderful their customer service is. This arrive with a brush that was crooked in the cap and made it difficult to use. I emailed them right away, got a response very quickly asking for a picture of the bad brush. I immediately emailed them back a picture an within a couple days I had a new brush in my mailbox! Excellent customer service!

Julep polishes can be purchased here or you can use my referral link by clicking the "What's your Style?" badge at the bottom of my page. I would greatly appreciate anyone using my referral link. Thank you!!

Sinful Colors

I picked up a few of the new Sinful Colors Candy Crush spring collection. First one I tried was Sweet Nothing. It is a turquoise color. In the bottle I think it looks darker than it is on the nail. It is a cream and dries to a glossy finish. I haven't really ever tried Sinful Colors before but for the price I thought I'd give it a try. So many people were going nuts over these colors.

They can be purchase at Walgreen's, that's where I picked mine up. They are $1.99 each but I managed to score them when they were on sale for $.99 with coupon. I mean how could I not try them for $.99!!!

Overall I am very impressed with this one. It really is great for a bargain!! I will definitely be purchasing more of these.

This picture is 2 coats with a top coat. I ha a hard time capturing a great pic but this isn't bad considering I was out of town for work.

Hard Candy~Black Tie Optional

I added a little something to my Zoya Blu today. I picked up a couple of the new Hard Candy polishes that are out in WalMart now. I was lucky because my WalMart had the whole collection in stock. This one which is called Black Tie Optional was the last one on the shelf so I snatched it up!

In my opinion this is very similar to some of the indies out there, I won't name any specific names but I know you know which ones I am talking about. This seems to be a very popular type of glitter. In this one there is 3 different types of black and white hex glitter and black bar glitter. I absolutely love that you can create so many different looks with this depending on what color you put it with.

I found that the application of this was not too bad. I did have to fish around for some of the larger pieces of glitter but it wasn't too bad. I didn't have any problems with the glitter not laying down or anything like that which was nice. Sometimes you have a problem with it wanting to lift up but this one didn't.

It dried to a pretty shiny finish but I put a top coat of Wicked Fast on over it to smooth it out. I thought that the black and white glitter on top of this beautiful pastel blue was a great combination and I can't wait to try it out with other colors.

Hard Candy polishes can be purchased at your local WalMart.

Zoya Pixie Dust~Godiva

Today I have for you one of the Zoya Pixie Dust polishes. This one is a sparkly nude textured polish called Godiva. These pictures just do not do this one justice! You have to see this in person to understand just how beautiful they are.

Godiva is my second Pixie Dust and I absolutely love them. With these polishes Zoya suggests not using any base coat or topcoat to get the best results. Also you should let them dry completely in between coats. I am just too impatient to wait long enough in between coats so I start to apply my second coat before the first is dry. I do not notice any difference in the results by not waiting in between coats.

These pictures are taken indoors with flash. I have applied 3 coats to get the desired opacity that I wanted. Godiva is a little sheer with 2 coats and I could see visible nail line so I applied a 3rd coat.

Zoya polishes can be purchased on their website here or they are also available in most Ulta stores. At least in my area Ulta is the only store they are available in.

Zoya Blu

So I'm stuck at home on another snowy day. I figured since I can't get to work I would out together another post for you guys. Today I have Zoya Blu. I thought it was fitting for a snowy day. This soft pastel blue is from their Lovely Collection Spring 2013.

It is a cream and application was a little streaky on the first coat but everything evened out with the second coat. I don't know if I got a bad bottle or what but mine was a little on the thick side. Oh we'll, I'll just add some thinner next time, a drop should do the trick.

I used 2 coats of Blu and one coat of wicked Fast fast dry top coat.

I'm not a big pastel person but this one isn't bad. I have a few others from the Spring 2013 Lovely Collection to try out so we will see. I'll have those up for you when I get them done. Zoya can be purchased on their website here.

Pretty & Polished Punk'd Up Betty

This is Punk'd Up Betty from Pretty & Polished. This is my second indie and I can see my wallet and husband are going to be mad at me because I am loving them and feel like I need to try more!

I still had my Tempest mani on and I thought it would make the perfect undie for this polish. I was right!! This is such a beautiful combination! I am so not looking forward to having to take this one off. :(

I only used one thick coat of Punk'd Up Betty for this and thought it looked pretty good so I decided against the second coat. I topped it with Wicked Fast and was good to go!

I think Punk'd Up Betty is a girly but edgy glitter. I have to say that I can see this combo in my future again.

I am so thankful that I am able to wear what I want at work and am free to express myself. I am never afraid to try new things on my nails and am able to show them off at work!
